Flattening of Adobe LiveCycle PDF forms over eDocPrintPro printing
You can usually flatten complete PDF forms directly and "burn" the field information. However, there is also a special type of PDF forms that were created using Adobe LiveCycle server and are not like normal PDF forms built with the traditional data structure. This special form of PDF forms can be filled with the Adobe Reader, stored and printed. Alternative PDF viewers, from other manufacturers do not work and can neither read the forms and their contents nor view or print them.
Especially if you want long-term archive these forms you must ensure that they can be displayed and printed in the future from any PDF program. But this is only possible if converted to standard PDF documents. The Adobe Reader is the only application with which you can view and print these LiveCycle Abobe forms. The simplest and cheapest option is to convert a PDF printing. In this case we use our eDocPrintPro printer to print through an automated process resulting "flattened" and create all readable PDF or PDF / A to documents. These can then be displayed on any PDF viewer and can be processed as a normal PDF document.
Based on our existing tools, we have created such a C #. NET application to automate the process and enable integration to your applications.
